No quotes this time, just me talking. Hearing inspirational words resonates so much more with me than reading them from a computer screen because it’s like bringing life and meaning to what we already know by putting them into real life context. So hear me out as I share with you the many exciting events that all transpired this week, which have unfortunately kept me away from filming workouts ( I sorry), but have led to larger gains for me both personally and professionally. I hope sharing this with you will also be beneficial to you too!
So here I am babbling. It’s so odd to hear myself talk. Somehow the words in my head always seem to take a lot longer to get across verbally. Consider yourself warned, I like to repeat myself a lot. If this were ever a timed assignment I would be in trouble.
Inspirational Event #1: Interview with Jeff Halevy for new fitness show on Veria Living
Apparently I made quite the impression with my Veria Voices Platform because thankfully they invited me back, except this time to film for an actual show! My heart is racing just talking about it because this is a big freaking deal. I’ve always wanted to share my fitness tips with viewers on TV and knew I would, but wasn’t sure exactly how it would come to light, until Veria came into my life. Sitting along side celebrity trainer, Jeff Halevy, made me blush a little, but it also was affirmation that I truly am an expert in my craft. People value what I have to say and that’s not something I’m always confronted with. As I mentioned in the video sometime in the Spring I will sharing with you not only the chemistry I like to think I had with this fitness heart throb, but more importantly all there is to know about exercise in the workplace, and breaking through plateaus (both physically and mentally).
Here I am insisting Jeff take a picture with me! ahh (no words)
My take-away words of encouragement from this are give yourself a voice! Always allow yourself to be heard, which is easy when you’re talking about something that you have strong ties to emotionally or that emits a passion you have. When you speak up with assertiveness people actually will listen. Trust me. It allows you to not only become a leader in your craft, but also to gain the respect and admiration of others, which gives us a feeling of purpose.
Inspirational Event #2: Filming for BRAVO TV network
Right before the holidays I had a “call back” from a BRAVO TV audition I had attended, which is when the client requests to see you again because you’re being considered for the job. Within a week after the call back my agent called to notify me that I was booked for the job! Now, this was a huge deal for me because it’s the largest TV spot I’ve ever aired in, plus out of the 3 commercial auditions I had before the new year this was the one I was secretly rooting for!
My take-away inspirational words from this are feed your faith and all your fears will starve to death; a quote by Max Lucado. If you run away from that of which you fear the most you’ll never find serenity and self-enlightenment. Part of finding your own happiness is to conquer all that holds you back. No pill can fix a complex or phobia you have. It’s all in changing your attitude and thought process.
Here I am walking on set for the first time! It took three separate teams and 6 models to get the job done. A very proud moment for me.
Here I am prepping in hair and make-up (Note: this was before the hairstylist “accidentally” burned me with the curling iron).
This dog is totally a man’s best friend! He worked so well on set with us, not one peep and sat so still!
Inspirational Event #3: Finalists in MPG fitness campaign competition
Can we get a hell yeah? Kern and I totally lost sleep over this campaign trying to plug in as many votes as possible. A HUGE thank you to all of you who voted because you helped us advance to the finals! Now we have a very crafty 30 second spot video we’re in the middle of putting together and a mini self-made photoshoot to capture all the awesome clothes MPG generously sent us for the competition. It’s a been a little chaotic over here with all that has been happening above, but we plan to have this revealed to you by the end of next week!
The gear I get to sport in our video for MPG! My fitness wardrobe has multiplying faster than I can keep up
My take-away inspirational words from this are always be the best you can be! Shine in everything you do and you will make such an impression for yourself. You don’t always have to be on top to shine. Sometimes it’s what you give that makes a difference. Looking for opportunities to help others rise to the top, will also reflect positively on you. I like to say think with your heart, not with your head.
I sure hope as we move ahead into this year that you are taking advantage of all these things! Here’s a quote of inspirational words I found and posted to our Facebook page that a lot of you responded positively to.
Surround yourself with the dreamers and the doers, the believers and thinkers, but most of all, surround yourself with those who see greatness within you, even when you don’t see it yourself.
Final words of inspiration
We don’t always realize that our networks: the people we work with, the people we call up on a Saturday night, the people under our roof, the people we love and care about, these are the ones who shape us. By asserting yourself, keeping a renewed and positive outlook and striving to be an even better person than you already are you can help shape the lives of others in the same positive way.

It’s a bit overwhelming to take in because I’m not sure what I’m more happy about lol. I think the Bravo commercial wins out as my proudest accomplishment! Hope you found some inspiration in my vlog! I don’t normally film just myself talking- it’s a new thing I’m trying,
YOU GO gorgeous girl!!! What an experience!
Thanks Katelyn! It’s been such an exciting week despite the hair dresser burning my face with the curling iron! Not sure if you caught that in my picture caption. Thankfully it’s healing pretty fast though.
