Here is a new favorite leg workout I just got done doing. I’m already extremely sore from filming this week’s workout video yesterday so to help break up the muscle stiffness I decided to do this ultimate leg routine today. We have here four moves performed in 2.5 minutes. Yes just 2.5 minutes and than repeat the set two more times. Here is the workout break-down:
1. 30 seconds of wall sit hold with one leg raised off the ground – Form a sitting position while leaning on wall. Raise one foot off ground, hold 30 counts and repeat while holding the opposite leg
2. 30 seconds of jump lunges- Lunge down with right leg in front and left leg in back. Hop up and switch legs. Alternate back and forth between having each leg in front.
3. 30 seconds of kick-outs- Start with high knees and instead of raising your knee up raise a straight leg up while hoping from leg to leg. Try to kick out in front of you with each leg as high as you can.
4. 30 seconds of quick feet – Bend your knees and quickly alternate your foot tap moving your feet as fast as you can in place.
I’m with another weekly video from Veria Living on making exercise entertaining for the whole family! We don’t only work with adults. Children are becoming a large target market in personal training due to the increasing numbers of cases of overweight young people with diabetes and heart problems. The important factor is how to get the whole family involved in making lifestyle changes. Exercise shouldn’t be a burden. It should be made fun so that you will incorporate it into your daily routine. There are several ways discussed here on how to make working out a family bonding experience.
How do you keep your children active especially with the growing trend of video games?
What other ways can you make exercise fun for young people aside from what’s in the video?
